Our Approach

Portland surveyed the building and created a 3D structural model in order to establish the feasibility of installed PhotoVoltaic panels to the roof.  Portland also designed various new floor areas and refurbishment features in line with the architects proposals.

As this project involved the refurbishment of an existing industrial building; we were therefore constrained by the existing structural features of the building.  Portland’s survey work was used to ensure any new members adequately fitted within the existing steel frame.

A new timber first floor was installed in the building, to ensure this was able to fit between the existing walls, Portland undertook a survey.
