Dovecote Meadow

Dovecote Meadow is the largest extra care development in Sunderland.  Consisting of 175 self-contained one and two-bed apartments.  Built over 3 phases from 2013 to 2015.  The scheme was a traditional build and all linked on a split level site.  Designed to achieve BREEAM rating 'Very Good'.

Aimed specifically at people aged over 55, this 46 two-bedroom extra care scheme located in Killingworth provides fairly low-level support to those with a need for a higher level of care. Giving residents their own home in a communal scheme with care and support staff available 24 hours a day.


Castle Court

Project value: £4.5 million

Located in Annfield Plain, this extra care scheme included the extension, refurbishment and remodelling of the existing buildings to create 42 independant living apartments plus new build bungalows and extensive communal landscaping works. This newly remodelled scheme also includes an IT Suite and state-of-the-art leisure facilities.

64 No extra care scheme over three storeys in Redcar, comprising of 1 and 2 bed bungalows with communal facilities plus a dementia care centre for use by the wider community.


Beresford Crescent

Project value: £8.6 million

A mixed tenure Extra Care development located in Middlesbrough, consisting of 13 one-bed and 52 two-bed apartments and 22 bungalows available for rent or shared ownership.


Barnaby House

Client: Tees Valley Housing Group

Project value: £4.9 million

This extra care scheme consists of 40 one and two bedroom self- contained apartments in the heart of Eston, Middlesbrough. All apartments are wheelchair accessible and two have been specially designed for wheelchair users. With extensive communal facilities including a guest room, restaurant, as well as a beautifully furnished communal lounge, convenience shop, hairdressing facilities and landscaped garden.


Eston Community Village

Project value: £6.5 million

Eston Community Village scheme aims to extend the care and support
offered from Barnaby House Extra Care to persons with dementia, mental health problems, and learning difficulties.

Eston Community Village consists of 36 apartment homes and 13
bungalows for older persons on an adjacent 1.2 hectare site (2.9
acres), extending supported housing choice and enabling partners to
stay together should one develop the need for a higher level of care.


Sowerby Gateway

This development includes an impressive three storey building containing 64 extra care apartments surrounded by 26 bungalows. With an innovative addition to the scheme of 4 retail units, as well as a cafe and bistro.
