New state of the art sustainable Nursery and Junior School for 300 pupils to promote education, sport and play on the derelict Victorian Hunter’s Moor Hospital site in Spital Tongues, Newcastle. The design provides self contained classrooms with external break-out spaces over two floors within a mature six acre woodland site.
Gateshead College

The new development, consists of 4,592 m2 (49,428 sq ft) state-of-the-art training facility which included new build and refurbishment of existing blocks. The Skills Academy for Sustainable Manufacturing and Innovation consists of a two storey learning facility accommodating with approximately 150 staff and students from both Gateshead College and Nissan offering both formal and practical education in sustainable motor manufacturing. The workshop element of the building is clad in pro led metal sheet intended to re ect the industrial aesthetic of the building’s function but with a contemporary approach. The use of renewable energy was also key with air cooled heat pumps central to the environmental design strategy.
Benton Dene School Campus

The campus is the only primary facility on Tyneside that brings together a mainstream and a special primary school under one roof.
The campus provides state-of-the-art facilities for learning, including specialist classrooms, outdoor play zones, music and IT suites and health areas.

A new build childcare enterprise in Newcastle Great Park was designed to provide innovative childcare facilities to local community. The scheme achieved a BREEAM rating of ‘Very Good’.
Askham Bryan College

The college is undertaking a 15 year masterplan to cater for a forecasted rapid increase in student numbers. This includes a range of facilities including teaching space, student accommodation, engineering facilities, sports facilities and entertainment facilities.
Stewart Park : Central Lodge

Conversion and refurbishment of Grade II Listed - Central Lodge into a new teaching facility. Returning the building to its former glory, encouraging greater public access, and creating an educational hub for young people.
