Places of Change: Redheugh

This new sports and social integration academy was built for young and vulnerable people in Gateshead. With funding from HCA the project was design to build a multi-functional facility in Gateshead to promote physical heath, mental wellbeing and social inclusion of diverse local community groups.

Birtley Young People's Club

This new purpose-built multi-sports facilty in Gateshead was awarded thewinner of the Community Benefit category at the RICS North East Renaissance Awards 2012. The facilty includes two gyms, three boxing rings, two junior grass pitches, a conference room, office and classroom space.

Harehills Mental Resource

Located in Kenton, this design and build, sustainable housing, regeneration development will create areas of good quality social and/or private housing to improve social economic and environmental wellbeing. The supported housing unit comprises of 16 ats for people with learning disabilities and austism in a safe and enbling environment.

The Crossings
Client: Riverside Housing Group / English Churches Housing Group

The Crossings is a “Places of Change” hostel providing spacious,comfortable, homely accommodation, access to medical and welfare facilities, support and opportunities for homeless persons. The facility provides 46 en-suite bedsitting rooms, (including 1 double room) arranged in clusters of 5 or 6 rooms with shared cooking and lounge facilities that encourage residents to live together. The public café, operating as a Community Enterprise, overlooks the River Hull with views out towards the Humber, creating opportunities for training and work experience for residents whilst providing a hub for the local community.

Petuaria Centre
Client: East Riding of Yorkshire Council
Project value: £1.25m
The centre was built to replace the existing library and now also includes a Customer Service Centre, Social Services facility and a Community Centre. The new Library features self-serve technology with separate reading areas for adults and children. The Community Centre includes a 100 Seating Room and Coffee Bar with meeting space areas for youth services and tuition facilities.

St Martin's Church
Client: St Martins Partnership

The purpose built centre provides 5 multi-purpose rooms, a Chapel, Kitchen, Toilets, Lounge, Of ces, Activity Room and Nursery Wing. The multi-functional building makes use of folding/sliding partitions in the Halls and Chapel adjacent to create flexibility in use. This scheme was awarded Winner of the RIC North East Renaissance Awards 2007 in the Communiity Benefit Category.

The Beacon
Client: Riverside Housing Group / Ministry of Defence

This flagship development provides a new purpose built supported housing scheme consising of The Beacon, offering 31 self contained flats and office accommodation along with Merlin Close - 12 No 3-bedroom homes for rent. This facility is located on the edge of Catterick Garrison within easy distance of Richmond.
