Portland Consulting Engineers (Portland) are delighted to announce their awarding onto the North-East Procurement Organisation’s (NEPO) Support Services for the Built Environment framework agreement, beginning January 2023 for four years.
Bidders were assessed on the quality and value for money of their submissions, alongside their plans to maximise all social value opportunities throughout the lifetime of the framework agreement. Ensuring that each pound spent by the members of NEPO secures as much value as possible.
Portland’s appointment to such a significant regional Framework is testament to all the hard work that has been put in to develop the business. Improved efficiency systems developed by the management team has resulted in the company having enjoyed a period of significant growth in the last year to 18 months. Credit must also be given to the talented team of engineers, their sustained efforts playing an important role in driving the business forward.
NEPO is a central purchasing body which acts on behalf of all 12 North Eastern councils alongside 3 regional NHS Foundation Trusts, undertaking strategic collaborative procurement.
Portland will be providing Civil & Structural Engineering, alongside Building Surveyor consultancy services for projects undertaken by the members of the procurement group. These encompass individual projects or programmes within the built environment including construction of new build, refurbishment, extensions, remodeling, retrofit, improvements and renovations of: educational establishments, NHS facilities, leisure facilities, Local Authority service sites, Emergency Services sites. Voluntary and community organisations, social enterprises, Government departments, public shared spaces, housing, and civil infrastructure.
